BCL statistical reporting - ActiveX
U IT
Microsoft and ActiveX, 30 years of service
ActiveX is a Microsoft technology introduced in 1996 to facilitate cross-platform development related to emerging web technologies at the time.
For security reasons, Microsoft decided to disable the ActiveX component in its Office suite, a decision made in April 2025 (link).
In practice, ActiveX is not automatically removed but disabled by default and can be reactivated via the Office options (link).

New versions coming in 2026
We have reworked the tools and will be offering a version that no longer uses ActiveX components in 2026.
You can contact us at our support email address if you would like to obtain a beta version of one of the tools before the end of 2025.
Please note that development and testing are still ongoing and that not all tools are yet available in their new version.
